A burial and memorial service was held at the Ho Bankoe Central Church of The Church of Pentecost in honour of Mr Daniel Amenyaglo Ameshie aka Papa Yaw, 63 and Papa Joseph Arman, 86, on Saturday, 31st October, 2026.

In his remarks, the Ho Bankoe District Minister, Pastor Francis Kwabla Selorm expressed his condolences to the bereaved families and explained that separation is difficult. “Don’t wait till your case becomes like that of the rich man in hades. When your assignments are done, God calls you home. Heaven knows those who died in Christ. Be identified with Heaven when death visits you.”, he urged the unsaved to surrender to the Lord Jesus Christ.
He also prayed for the families for God’s sustenance, long life and peace of mind.

Elder Emmanuel Tenu gave the sermon on the topic, “In the end when Jesus tarries, you shall die. Luke 16:19-31.”
“Everyone shall taste death. Everything shall come to pass in this life. If there’s anything good, do it for the Lord now. A day in Heaven is better than thousands of years on Earth, for the Earth is is full of filth.”, he reiterated.

Elder Tenu exhorted Christians to bear virtues such as love and kindness as much as possible. How are you treating your fellow man when you have the opportunity?”, he echoed.
“It is not about the design of the tomb and the high-tech funeral, ask the one in the coffin if he is at peace.”, he said.
“Death is once, there is no correction of errors after death. Find Jesus Christ, so there will be peace and satisfaction after your death.”, he concluded.

In his comments, the conductor of the service, Elder Emmanuel Adawugah remarked, “Let someone come to Christ through you.” as Mrs Adobah was acknowledged for leading Papa Joseph Arman to Christ. Joseph was baptised by Pastor Seth Okletey Narh in 2017.

In their biographies and tributes, it was noted that the two departed men were stalwarts who served their families and the nation with their talents.
Mr Daniel Amenyaglo Ameshie was into road construction. He also worked with the Food and Drugs Board, stayed in Germany and was also involved in many other spheres.
“Life is too short for anger to last, and death has a way of reminding us of what truly matters. … The pain of yesterday can no longer change tomorrow.”, one of the tributes expressed.

Papa Joseph Arman was a professional carpenter and the foundation of their family.
He was always punctual and present during every Lord’s Supper Sunday Service. Though advanced in age, he was cheerful towards the youth and vice versa.

2 Corinthians 5:1-10, Romans 14:8, 1 Corinthians 1:31, Psalm 51:17, 1 Corinthians 13:7 and Ecclesiastes 12:7 were some of the Scripture texts quoted during the service.
The song ministrations during the service conveyed the message of heaven, rest after death, saints and angels awaiting the believer in glory.
One person surrendered his life to Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour and Lord.
