Madam Lilian Serwa Opare Laid To Rest

The funeral service of Madam Lilian Serwa Opare, 41, was observed on Saturday, 19th September, 2026, at Gbefi-Hoeme in Kpando Municipal in the Volta Region.

Family, church members, colleagues, learners, friends and well wishers gathered to pay their last respects and goodbyes to their departed fellow.

Giving the sermon, the preacher mentioned that there is life after death according to the Bible. He reassured the congregation Madam Serwa would rise again. Quoting Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 15: 50-54, he mentioned that after the mortal bodies, Christians would rise and be given new bodies. There is hope after death, he explained.

He advised that people should do good wherever they find themselves for what is sown, is reaped.

Madam Lilian Serwa Opare until her passing was a facilitator at the Tanyigbe Anyigbe M/A Primary School. She had earlier served with the Ghana Education Service at the Sokode Gbogame R/C, Ho Bankoe R/C Mixed and St Francis of Asisi R/C Basic Schools respectively where she offered her best in mentoring and equipping young minds through dedication, service and kindness.

It was mentioned that she passed all her professional promotion examinations in the latter part of her life that she was incapacitated.

Lilian lived a very meaningful life, had a warm nature and related well with everyone.
“Such a lively girl. Lilian was full of love, a very jolly fellow.”, a mourner made a comment.

Mrs Lilian Serwa Opare-Opoku is survived by her husband, children, mother and family.
The tributes emphasized that Madam Lilian Serwa Opare would be missed dearly. The period also served the purpose of reunion of friends and family.

Till the end Lilian was full of love and hope.
Till we meet again adieu Serwa. May the earth receive you warmly and fall lightly on you.
