If you have ever doubted the creation narrative of the Holy Bible, let the story of Theodora Solace Aseye Mornyuie, a Sunday School Member, of PIWC-Ho, of The Church of Pentecost, Ho Area speak to you. Theodora is also a learner at the Volta Rising Star Academy.
Theodora
Young Aseye, 11, asked the mother Enyonam Adjorlolo Dormevenu, also known as enyomedia, who is into christian media, to post her poem online for her. According to enyomedia, she was always, postponing having a look at the poem. Her daughter’s frequent demands gave her a change of mind and she had a look at the poem. The last line, “Bake tomorrow’s BREAD today.” attracted her to the poem.
Aseye and the mother
Mrs Dormevenu made a post asking for a virtual launcher on Facebook, Mr Peter Kyei Anim-Sampong, based in the United Kingdom readily availed himself for the task. Madam Justina Ohemaa Afia Mauda, who is a Brand Expert and a Business Strategist designed her Poem Launch Flyer free of charge.

During the first church service of PIWC-Ho, of The Church of Pentecost, Ho Area, on Sunday, 18th November, 2023, Deaconess Suzzy Kugblenu gave a spectacular testimony to the glory of God for seeing her through school at the Ho Technical University. The auditorium was full of emotions, that is, tears, joy, gratefulness, etc.
Her testimony moved almost everyone present to tears when she herself could not control hers. This was as a result of the many ups and downs Deaconess Suzzy Kugblenu, 33, went through before graduation. According to her, she was struck with an acute headache in Class 4 and that ended her brilliance. Her teachers kept promoting her because of her past performances, hoping that the issue would get better. She was able to know how to write her name again in JHS 1. Her journey in formal education was delayed because of the following:
* She had to re-attend JHS 2, thus completing JHS in 2006 instead of 2005. * First Senior High School in 2009, all records on her and her results could not be traced or found after the final exams. * Second Senior High School in 2014 (4 years) with E8 as the highest grade. Pastor Michael Kofi Norshie, her then District Pastor followed-up and encouraged her. * Third Senior High School that is, Pentecost Vocational Institute at Gbawe, Accra from 2015-2017. * She learnt Sewing for 2 years. * She hustled in Accra.
Suzzy with her lecturer Lolornyo
Her parents and uncle encouraged her to further her education to which she was reluctant, but she later agreed after a revelation from God.
Suzzy says that the challenges continued at Ho Technical University with resits at the end of almost every semester. Sometimes she got depressed and cried, but in all God saw her through.
Suzzy on the day of graduation
On a one on one with this reporter, she acknowledged the tremendous help of God in her life. She revealed her immense thankfulness and acknowledgements to her parents, Elder and Deaconess Kugblenu of The Church of Pentecost, Abotoase in the Oti Region and Pastor Michael Kofi Norshie. Deaconess Lolornyo Letsa, her lecturer added that Suzzy Kugblenu’s case is an inspiration. Deaconess Suzzy Kugblenu also served in several positions in PENSA such as Assistant Evangel and First Female President.
Suzzy and friends
Suzzy says people should put their trust in God and never give up, so that their purposes in life will be fulfilled. They should encourage themselves; never to look down on themselves. They should never think of killing themselves, because that will not be a testimony, instead they should read the Bible and pray. Deaconess Suzzy Kugblenu is about to start her degree course soon.

Madam Yuiah and a female learner during the presentation
Madam Yuiah explained that, learners should always inform parents of their whereabouts, avoid begging as there is no free lunch, and also avoid touching sensitive parts of each other. She also added the learners that they should avoid bad friends, wear decent dresses to cover sensitive parts, avoid roaming about unnecessarily, avoid watching bad stuff on the internet. She also informed them that they should concentrate on school so as to become matured and responsible citizens.

Some of the effects of defilement and rape are teenage pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases, loss of virginity, conflicts, illegal abortion, depression, early death, imprisonment, etc. She explained to the learners that there is a juvenile court to handle children so they should behave responsibly so as to avoid there.
“Defilement happens when a child below 16 years is touched sexually, rape is when the victim is above 16 years, both of them are punishable by law. The victims could be male or female”, Madam Yuiah emphasized.
Madam Juliana Yuiah
Madam Juliana Yuiah told the learners to be watchful because they could be harassed by strangers, friends, siblings, parents, pastors, teachers, uncles, and could happen everywhere example washrooms, bedrooms, schools, homes, etc. She encouraged the learners to visit the DOVVSU or nearest police station to report their challenges and avoid home settlement of sexual related harassment. The punishment of defilement ranges between 7-25 years imprisonment.
