Appreciation Ceremony In Honour of Some Church Workers at Ho Dome.

The Ho Dome District has honoured some hardworking officers including Elder Emmanuel Kwame Atta Avornyo at the Central Chapel on May 11th, 2025.
The other award recipients include Elders Francis Dzokpo and Bright Agbegoe, Deaconesses Vivian Akoto, Janette Adzomane, Suzy Torgbo, Roslyn Abbeny, Doris Akpabli and Gloria Owusu who served in various capacities in the Ho Dome. Together they stood in the gap and lifted the church’s flag higher.

Present at the programme were Mrs Comfort Quampah, the Area Head’s spouse, the District Pastor, Pastor Mawuena and Mrs Josephine Akoto, the presbytery, the congregation and well wishers.

Pastor Mawuena Akoto used the scriptures Colossians 3:23 and Hebrews 6:10 to exhort the congregation. He advised the congregation to work for God who rewards justly. He emphasized that God is not unjust to forget the sacrifices and services of his people. He usually rewards more than the expectations of man.

Elder Emmanuel Avornyo, who doubles as the second in command at the El-Bethel Prayer Centre of The Church of Pentecost Ho Area, started the work of a Finance Officer from 2004 with the then Ho South District where then Mawuli Worship Centre now PIWC-Ho was the Central Assembly.

In January 2010, the Ho Dome District of The Church of Pentecost tasked Elder Avornyo with the duty of an Office Clerk in the day-to-day running of the church.
This is a duty he carried out with all his strength and might to the glory of God and helped catapult the fortunes of the church.
His zeal and loyalty towards the things of God are highly admired and recognized.

A giant citation

Elder Emmanuel Avornyo also serves as a Member of the Ho Area Executive Committee of The Church of Pentecost.
He was awarded for his meritorious and selfless services to the church for all these years.

The appreciation ceremony is a testament to the value of commitment and the recognition of hard work, that in God’s time, all things become beautiful.
