The Ho Area Head, an Executive Council Member, and the Volta and Oti Regional Coordinating Councils Chair of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Dr Dela and Mrs Comfort Quampah have hosted retired officers in the Ho Municipality to a banquet at their residence in Ho, Volta Region on Sunday, 8th January 2023.
Present at the event were Apostle Dr Dela and Mrs Comfort Quampah, Pastor Jerry Paul Adzah(rtd), Ho Area Executive, a section of the Ho Area Pastorate and their wives, the and the retirees.
Apostle Dr Dela Quampah thanked God for the lives of all the retired officers. He also thanked the retirees for allowing themselves to be used as vessels and servants of God to develop The Church of Pentecost in Ho from a 1 district church to 7 district pastor seats in Ho Municipality. He asked for their prayer support and advice.
He encouraged the pastors to inform the retirees of happenings in their districts.
Apostle Dr Dela Quampah prayed for them that they should enjoy fruits of their labour.
Pastor Nelson Agbove, the Ho Bankoe District Pastor gave the sermon with scriptural reference from Numbers 8: 23- 26. He said retirement is endorsed by God, retirees should be encouraged to give advice to the upcoming leaders for growth.
Proposing the toast, Mrs Comfort Quampah thanked God for the lives of the retirees, and asked God for more blessings in their lives and endeavours.
The over 70 participants had a lot to eat and drink to their fill from the assorted meals and drinks. They danced, interacted with each other and made merry.
There was an observation of a minute’s silence in memory of fallen members who have passed on to the Lord’s glory.
The retirees each received presents from Elder Prof. Seth Yaw and Mrs Doris Peasa.
The retired officers were joyful, and thanked the Ho Area Head for the gesture and treat.
