The 9 retired Deaconesses

The Ho Area of The Church of Pentecost has held its retirement service for 9 Deaconesses at the Pentecost International Worship Centre, Mawuli Estate, Ho, on Sunday, 18th December, 2022.

The retirees with the Clergy

Giving the Purpose of Gathering, Pastor Cephas Akakpo, the Ho Area Secretary who stood in for the Area Head, Apostle Dr Dela Quampah said it was very important to acknowledge the services and contribution of the retirees in the Kingdom Work.

Deaconess Celestine Agbesi who has served for 47 years

Elder Prof Seth Yaw Peasa, an Area Executive Member, spoke to the topic,
“Woman, My Ministry Helper, Well Done.” Some Bible references he used are
Romans 16: 1- 3, Galatians 6: 7- 10, 2 Kings 4, and 1 Kings 17 : 1.
He emphasized the contribution of women in the Gospel.
“Ministry without women is going to be a failure”, he said.

Elder S Y Peasa in a prayerful mood

Elder S Y Peasa advised the congregation to do good because what one sows is what is reaped. He further explained that hard work leads to acknowledgement.
He concluded the message by saying that, “In difficult economic times, God asks for man’s kindness. Do not get tired, in due time, you will be rewarded. God will remember you, your labour shall not be in vain.”

The retirees are Deaconesses Victoria Kpelebe, Dorothy Boateng, Joyce Gedza, Mercy Akortsu, Alice Ativi, Margaret Aklaku, Mary Ayeley Akrobeto, Gladys Ackah and Celestine Agbesi.
They have served meritoriously ranging between 18- 47 years.
They received citations and certificates of service among others.
