The Church of Pentecost, Ho Municipal Women’s Ministry has held a 2-day Prayer Meeting on 4th-5th July, 2022. The prayer meeting which is held every month had, “You and Your Diet” as the theme for July 2022.
In attendance were some of the Women’s Ministry Leaders, including the Ho Area Head’s wife, Mrs Comfort Quampah (Monday), the Ho Area Women’s Ministry Leader, Mrs Fidelia Ametefe, some pastors’ wives, deaconnesses and members.

The talk was given by Mrs Deborah Guessou, SSNIT Flats District Minister’s Wife, Ho.
With a scriptural reference from Genesis 1: 29-30, she explained that God the Creator, has given the necessary and favourable food to all creation.
Mrs Guessou illustrated to the women that Each creature has the food that is favourable to its system. For example as elephants, lions, goats and poultry have vegetation, flesh, grass, and cereals respectively as food, so do the various blood groups have their beneficial and non-beneficial foods.

She said that proper eating habits keeps the body healthy and as such drugs intake are avoided. “Ignorance in dieting leads to sicknesses, drugs have their side effects. Experience is the best teacher, since 7 years that I have practiced this proper eating habits, I have been very fit”, she asserted.

Some general everyday guide on healthy living Mrs Deborah Guessou taught are:
* Know your blood group type and eat accordingly.
* Eat 85% of your blood type’s highly beneficial foods.
* Eat appropriate foods for your blood type.
* Avoid late night eating.
* Clean your teeth before sleeping.
* After waking up, get up gradually from the bed.
* Start your day with early morning drinking of water.
* Do not mix acidic fruits, example orange, pineapple, lemon, star fruit etc.
* Do not entertain early morning heavy meals if your work does not support it.
* Put salt in food as it is being cooked.
* Do not repeat the same food everyday.
* Take your bath before bed.
* Drink at least 8litres of water in a day.
* Refill the body with water after urinating at night.
* Sleeping on the left side initially is encouraged before turning to any position.

Mrs Viku of Ho Dome District adding her opinion that drinking enough water is highly beneficial to the body.
Mrs Deborah Guessou encouraged the women to plan their diets by having menus and as much as possible consume home made meals. There was a question and answer session.
