
There has been a launching of Pentecost Men’s Ministry Ewe Songs at PIWC- Ho in the Volta Region on Sunday 29th May, 2022.
The meeting being the first of its kind in The Church of Pentecost had in attendance a lot of dignitaries including Apostle Moses K and Mrs Elizabeth Ahiakor, Area Head for Hohoe, Apostle Isaac Tetteh Juddah, Area Head for Sogakope, the Ho Area Pastorate and wives, PEMEM NEC Members, the Ho Municipal Chief Executive, Honourable R E Bobson and a lot more.
Presenting the purpose of meeting and the sermon, Apostle Moses K Ahiakor said the songs will be used to glorify God. Reading from 2 Chronicles 20: 18- 24, he said music is one of the powerful weapons used to conquer the enemy and to possess nations. He gave examples of Elisha and David who used music for a good cause.


Apostle Ahiakor cited 2 Kings 3: 14- 17, 20 -23 to advise the congregation to use music effectively and efficiently as good spiritual music gives comfort, deliverance, freedom, hope and new life.
Apostle Isaac Tetteh Juddah who said the power behind a particular song takes control over the listener led the congregation through a time of prayer.
Elder Dr Ebenezer Asamoah Nyarko, the Deputy PEMEM Director spoke about grassroot mobilisation where local languages are used which goes a long way to transform society. He prayed that all should be blessed as they support the programme.
Honourable R E Bobson, the MCE of Ho declared Ho as being for Christ now and forever. He said, “any invitation, I would receive from even a church under a tree, I will honour”. As an evangelist, he said the only thing in Heaven is singing praises and worship to the Almighty God.



The other speakers including Pastor Philip K Akumey and Elder Stephen Djaba expressed their excitement of the feat which began 3 years ago. The PEMEM Ewe Songs will have a catchment area across the Volta and Oti Regions.
The launch was led by Elder Emmanuel Avornyo, Ho Area Executive Member and Deputy Camp Leader, El-Bethel Prayer Centre.
The highest bid was five thousand Ghana Cedis (Gh Cedis 5000.00) from Elder Seth Yaw and Mrs Doris Delali Peasa.The songs which are composed and compiled by The Church of Pentecost Men’s Ministry include; Miawoenye ŋutsuwo, Si menye ŋutsu la and others. The programme which had almost 200 participants was sponsored by the PEMEM Directorate in cash and in kind.
Pastor Michael Edjouku Arthur who is the Ho Area PEMEM leader was recognized for his dedication from the start of the idea of Ewe Songs, though himself not an Ewe man. He was the conductor for the event and he was so thankful to God and all for the success chalked.
